Working through the statements below is the beginning of exploring how the Spirit has equipped you to contribute — but treat the outcome as a conversation-starter, to be tested alongside the Bible, teaching you trust, and a community around you.

Nothing you enter here is saved or sent to us — your results only appear on this screen, and it’s entirely up to you whether you save or print a copy for yourself at the end.

Part one Have an ability to start new ministries Are naturally good at organising people, tasks, details, and processes Have the capacity to deliver truth of a predictive nature or speak into a situation Are used by God to bring healing and restoration to people’s minds and bodies Are often ‘sent out’ to minister beyond the boundaries of a church Find creative ways to help others achieve their goals to see others succeed Can share a message from the Holy Spirit without needing to prepare or study it beforehand Have a deep desire to see God alleviate physical problems and have the willingness to be used by God Have leadership qualities to push boundaries and overcome obstacles Give wise guidance and advice to the wider church and help people understand and apply the leaders’ vision Bring direction, vision, encouragement or warning to a whole church community Have a special ability to recognise when God’s power is present and to trust Him to bring restoration

Part two Show God’s love through practical help, especially within the church Have the God-given ability to give people vision, motivation, and direction Can speak, worship or pray in a language unknown to them Have a strong ability to understand God’s will and purpose and help others have confidence in it too Happily and regularly do practical tasks, especially the behind-the-scenes jobs that others may avoid Have a clear vision of the big picture and stay strongly focused on the end goal Can recognise when God is being praised, thanked, or prayed to, even when the language is unknown Bring the tipping point on big decisions because of their confidence that God will do it Have an urge to help others and notice, without being told, ways that others can be assisted Are able to gather and lead large or growing groups, rather than mainly focusing on individual needs Can cry out to God and express what is in their hearts, even when they cannot find the right words Are undaunted by obstacles or circumstances, trusting God to remove mountains with deep courage

Part three Show genuine empathy, compassion and grace experienced as a deep calling rather than as an emotion Gently correct, or sometimes encourage and comfort, using biblical truth Share the gospel in a powerful way with a deep concern about people who don’t know Jesus Are involved with the release of God’s power in unique ways Have an impulse to embrace the sinner, weep with those who weep, and stand with the accused Hear people’s stories by listening and understanding with an intensity that can’t be learnt Can easily talk about spiritual truths before groups of people, or with strangers May have personally cast out demons, raised someone from the dead or changed the course of nature Often seek out those who know they are not worthy of what you give them Effortlessly impact lives and people like to be around them Joyfully and naturally talk with authority about Jesus in an unforced way Willingly risk their reputation trusting God in unusual situations

Part four Regularly look for ways to give money or resources and feel disappointed when they cannot Give a specific word, encouragement, or insight from God to an individual Have an ability to pray for extended periods of time on a regular basis Can recognise truth, error, or evil, sensing the hidden source of a situation Are careful with finances with a conviction that what they have belongs to God Share information that helps or encourages, even though they could not have known it without God revealing it to them Selflessly bring the needs of others to God with passion Are the spiritual eyes of the church, seeing and sensing what others don’t Give with great joy, regardless of how much they give, and may often give exactly what someone needs May receive visions, thoughts or written words from God See frequent and specific answers to prayer, more than the average Christian Have a deep underlying conviction that doesn’t allow them to rest when there is a half truth or false teaching

Part five Can instruct, explain or bring Biblical truth in a way people understand Can spontaneously respond to a message in another language that has not been learnt Bring a word or message that provides insight for an individual or a community Have the capacity for concern and care for individuals within a group See people’s lives changed through their teaching of the Bible in ways that go beyond natural teaching skills or training Supernaturally understand what has been said in a language they do not know Receive insight from God that helps other believers follow His will Can take long-term responsibility for the spiritual wellbeing of a group of believers Can bring a response from people through teaching that goes beyond the content or their own education and training Translate words from another language to deepen unity or encouragement others May receive visions, thoughts or written words from God Look at the detailed needs of individuals and love them throughout life
